Smart Home Systems

What is a smart home? – It is a fully automated living space that allows us to control all devices remotely.

ZIGBEE WIRELESS SMART HOME

Smarter creates smart home systems based on the Zigbee protocol

We have an exclusive partnership with the world's leading brand ORVIBO, which has high trust among customers in Georgia.

What does a Zigbee smart home mean? - All you need to know is that Zigbee is a specification that has been around for more than a decade, and it is widely considered an alternative to Wi-Fi and Bluetooth for some applications like low-powered devices that do not require a lot of bandwidth. It is a wireless technology that connects smart home devices allowing the homeowner to manage all smart solutions from a single application.

A typical example is when you have a Zigbee-enabled light bulb and a Zigbee-enabled light switch and you want the light switch to control the light bulb. Explained in easy words, Zigbee allows two devices - even if they are from different manufacturers – to speak the same language and there is no communication barrier.

The main advantage of the application is its simplicity and does not require much effort from the user. It allows us to integrate a smart home even in a renovated building. This system is characterized by very low energy consumption, which ensures a long product life of battery-powered smart home devices.

Zigbee does not focus on point-to-point communication, such as Bluetooth, but it operates in a mesh network, which is why it's great for the smart home. Technology is easier, simple, and less expensive than other wireless personal area networks such as Wi-Fi or Bluetooth.

    Z WAVE SMART HOME

As an alternative Smarter also offers Z Wave protocol that is also based on wireless technology and is primarily focused

It allows smart devices to connect and exchange control commands and data with each other. With two-way communication through mesh networking and message acknowledgment, the Z-Wave protocol helps eliminate power issues and brings low-cost wireless connectivity to home automation, offering a lower-power alternative to wi-fi and a longer-range alternative to Bluetooth.

A Z-Wave network consists of internet of things (IoT) devices and a primary controller, also known as a smart home hub, which is the only device in a Z-Wave network that is usually connected to the internet. When a Z-Wave hub receives a command from a smart home application on a user's smartphone, tablet or computer, it routes the command to its destination device across networks of up to 232 devices - including the hub.

Z Wave includes all smart home solutions: sensors, lights, heating controls, locks, switches, and more. Since 2018, Smarter is a representative of FIBARO in Georgia - a top brand of smart devices globally.

Also, Smarter is an official representative of Z Wave Alliance in Georgia, which unites the world-leading smart home brands such as ASSA ABLOY, RING, AEOTEC, AXIS, JOHNSON CONTROLS, etc. These devices in Smarter have an open protocol, which allows us to integrate with diverse products of up to 400 different companies. This grants clients opportunity to choose from various ranges of products.

    THE BRANDS WE WORK WITH

    KNX SMART HOME

When we talk about a smart home, we should not forget about the KNX standard

KNX standard perfectly fits all requirements and creates the highest standard of comfort and security. KNX is the internationally recognized and worldwide standard for smart home automation and building control.

KNX is a technology that controls the automation of integral functions of any residential, commercial, or industrial building. In the contrast with Zigbee and Z Wave, KNX uses a special cable for communication. KNX devices can manage lighting, blinds, shutters, HVAC, security systems, energy management, audio-video, white goods, displays, remote control, etc.

KNX is also the world’s only open standard for home and building control. Unlike proprietary protocols (which only the manufacturer supports), KNX is an open worldwide standard with over 300 different manufacturers producing products that all inter-work and operate together seamlessly.

There are more than 500 different international brands presented in the KNX Association. The main advantage of this system is compatibility, meaning that it can integrate with products of more than 500 brands, which is very convenient for the user. In this regard, we are a partner up with international brands like ABB, EKINEX, JOHNSON CONTROLS, and HDL.
